We are still around

Hope everyone is doing well. It has been awhile since the last post (9 mo.) I have just chosen to do other things besides update the blog. Don't forget to click the photo links on the right.
Early in the year, we spent a few days at Tio Norio and Aunt Delly's ranch. Raeyana and Julian got to ride a Mustang (See for yourself). It is always a relaxing visit, camp style cooking and peaceful isolation. Of course we always choose the cool time of the year to visit south texas.
April was rather busy with all the birthdays (Amanda, mine, and Let's) and Easter. Not to mention that I now have one of the sweetest gigs. I became a golf course marshall in April. So now I play golf at least 4 times a week and work half a day on Fridays, Not everyone loves it :)
Summer was great. Julian graduated from pre Kinder and Aaron, Ryan, McKenna and Kara moved back to Granbury, TEXAS. So we get to see McKenna and Kara more often and Aaron and Ryan too. It has been a welcomed change. To handle the 100 degree temps we broke out the popsicles, set up the pool, and went fishing.
Summer came to an end with Julian starting Kinder. He says that there is not much play time and too much work. HELLO.
Raeyana turned 3 on September 3. The party had a Princess theme. Ryan and Amanda made this Awesome Castle Cake. Not only was it aesthetic but it was quite delectable. Needless to say it was Pretty Good.
That is all for now. I will only add that it is no use complaining about the weather it will change soon and we won't like it then either.

Hope that everyone is having a great holiday season. Thought that I would get ahead start on posting holiday season photos. Here are some Christmas photo links on the right for you to view. Where did 2010 go?

Hello everyone, I looked at the last post and could hardly believe that it was in Jan. Maybe that is a testament as to how busy we all have been. Thanks to my sister Sandy for taking the lead role to set up Mom's 75th birthday celebration. We had a large turn out and everyone had loads of fun. Raeyana turned 2 in Sept and McKenna turned 3 in Oct. Let and I were blessed to be able to attend McKenna's birthday party in Raleigh. As an additional treat Julian and Raeyana made the 20hr trip by car. Julian and Raeyana handled the road trip very well. When it was all said and done, it was good to see and have all the granchildren together. Halloween followed on our return. Raeyana wore one of Amanda's dance costumes and Julian was an Avatar. and it has not slowed down one bit. Hope everyone enjoys the photos.

We are all doing well in Raleigh. Updated the blog with some pics from New Years (enjoy the videos of Raeyana feeding her baby doll and giving kisses), Julians' B-day celebration at his school (video of him getting dressed up in firemans outfit) and also some video of Kara that everyone will surely like.

Kara is Here!!!

Let and I can not think of a better way to start 2010 than with the arrival of our Fourth Granchild, Kara Susanne Moreno. Kara arrived at 4:51 PM Jan 11, 2010 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 3/4" in length. Kara, Mommy, Daddy, and McKenna are all doing well. Thanks to God. Let and I left Lake Jackson at 3:00 am Saturday and arrived at 10:30 PM Saturday. Yes, that's right we drove straight thru (approx 19 Hrs). We rested up on Sunday. As it turns out, it was a good thing that we drove straight thru because Ryan was ready. Aaron and Ryan had a Doctors appointment Monday morning and that was that. They admitted her and you know the rest. It has been a wonderful day. Enjoy the Pics

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Aside from missing alot of our family members, Christmas turned out well. Thanks to God everyone is safe. I updated the blog with Pics from Let's trip to visit McKenna on her birthday. Lot's of cute video (I am not biased,:). Julian is a cow in the school play. He said that he was glad he wasn't a donkey. The Christmas tree shows the effect of the economy but at least we had one. Enjoy the rest of the holidays and have a Safe New Year.

Halloween '09

Let has been in Raliegh, NC for about 1 1/2 weeks. She is due back this Wed 10/28. You will know she is back by the claw marks in the yard. I hear she is having a great time. Meanwhile the zombies and ghouls have been running amok. Julian and Tina went to the pumpkin patch to get us something to carve. Julian, Tina and I had a great time designing, carving, lighting and photographing the event. I highly recommend the activity for some good family time. Have a Safe Halloween. Watch out for the Children.
